1993-94 TOPPS
1993-94 Topps
     Both series of the 1993-94 Topps (and O-Pee-Chee) Premier hockey set consisted of 264 cards.  The fronts feature white-bordered color player photos.  The player's name and position appear at the bottom of each card within a team color-coded stripe, and the Premier logo is displayed in the lower left.  The horizontal backs carry color p layer action shots on their left sides.  At the top, the player's name, uniform number, team, and position appear within a team color-coded stripe.  Below this, and to the right of the player photo, appear the player's biography and stats on a background that resembles white ruffled silk.  The team, NHL, and NHLPA logos in the lower left round out the back.  Topical subsets featured are Super Rookies, 1st and 2nd Team All-Stars, and League Leaders scattered throughout the set.  Except for some information in French on the backs, the 1993-94 O-Pee-Chee Premier set is identical to the 1993-94 Topps Premier set. 

 
1993-94 Topps Black Gold Inserts
     Randomly inserted Topps packs, these 24 cards feature on their white-bordered fronts color player action shots set on ghosted and darkened backgrounds.  Gold foil inner borders at the top and bottom carry multiple Premier Black Gold logos.  The player's name appears in white lettering within a black stripe across the lower gold-foil inner margin.  The horizontal back carries a color action cutout set on a bluish background on the left.  Career highlights appear within a purple area on the right.  The player's name and team name appear within a black bar across the top.  The cards are numbered on the back.  Collectors could also find in packs a Winner Card A, redeemable for the entire 12-card first series set; a Winner Card B, redeemable for the 12-card second series; and a Winner Card AB, redeemable for the entire 24 card set.  The Winner cards expired May 31, 1994.

 
1993-94 Topps Finest Inserts
     Randomly inserted in both Topps and OPC second series packs, these 12 cards feature on their metallic fronts color player action shots framed by a gold line and bordered in blue.  The player's name and positon appear in gold lettering in the lower blue margin.  The horizontal blue and gray back carries a color player action shot on the right, which carries the date of the player's NHL debut in its lower left corner.  On the left are displayed the team name, player name, position, biography, and stats.  The cards are numbered on the back as "x out of 12".

 
1993-94 Topps Team USA Inserts
     Randomly inserted at a rate of 1:12 second series.  Topps Premier packs, these 23 cards feature borderless color player photos on their fronts.  The player's name and USA hockey logo appear at the bottom in gold foil.  The red, white and blue back carries the player's name and position at the top, followed below by biography, player photo, career highlights, and statistics.  The cards are numbered on the back as "x of 23".
